The Rhodes Scholarships for India (United Kingdom)
Rhodes trust offers this scholarship to Study Postgraduate Degree Abroad at the University of Oxford. Indian students who have passed their undergraduate degree with first class can apply for this scholarship.
Students who are studying their final year undergraduate degree are also eligible to apply. 5 students will award with the Rhodes scholarship provided they have good academic records and exceptional personal qualities.
You can apply for this aid within the end of April month. You will require to write a personal essay and it will be one of the important deciding factors during selection. All the expenses including fee, health insurance, travel fares, living costs will cover under this scholarship.
Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships
This is available for Indian students who want to study postgraduate course or do research in USA. It is provided by United States-India Educational Foundation. Indians, who want to pursue their studies in the fields like arts, culture, gender studies, environmental studies etc, can apply for this fellowship.
The eligibility requirement is a bachelor’s degree equivalent to U.S i.e. four years of education and minimum three years of work experience in their chosen field.
The fellowship will be enough to pay tuition fee, air travel charges, living expenses etc. you can also buy books with the money awarded as fellowship. Students should apply a year before for this fellowship during June. Furthermore, it will take around 7 to 8 months for the results to announce.
Inlaks Scholarship (UK, USA and Europe)
High achieving Indian students can avail this scholarship offered by the Inlaks-Shivdasani Foundation. You can study in the universities located in Europe, United Kingdom and United States. The undergraduates must be under 30 years of age and should have completed their studies from a recognized Indian University.
Around $100,000 will provide under this scholarship. If the expenses exceed that amount, then the students are required to provide proof that they can manage it on their own. The time to apply is between January and mid-April to Study Postgraduate Degree Abroad.
Commonwealth Scholarship (UK)
This scholarship is available to the students who want to do their postgraduate or research studies in United Kingdom. It is offered to students hailing from the commonwealth countries.
The students must have studied English medium and have minimum 65% mark if they want to pursue higher studies in science, technology and engineering.
If the chosen field is Social sciences and humanities, 60% is enough. To shortlist, you have to attend the interview conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships (Europe)

It is given by the European Union to students who are admitted to the famous Erasmus Mundus Joint programs in European universities.
